The Area
The Haute-Vienne, the Charente and the Dordogne
La Chassagne is a charming hamlet just a short stroll from a beautiful beached lake with pedalos, supervised swimming, a bar and restaurant and pony riding.
A 5 minute car ride or a 20 minute walk and you will find 3 other restaurants and Base Nautique where you can enjoy a wide range of water activities and even find your zen with outdoor yoga sessions.
Nestled in the picturesque Perigord-Limousin National Park, you are spoilt for choice with nature trails and fishing lakes and you're perfectly positioned to explore the nearby Charente and Dordogne departments.
Limoges, famous for its porcelaine, is 45 mins away and has an airport with links to the UK and Bordeaux airport is just over 2 hours.
The beautiful medieval town Rochechoaurt with its chateau (now an art museum) is a 13 minutes scenic car drive and has shops, bars and restaurants and 13 minutes in the other direction you will find the Charente town of Chabanais with the Vienne river.
